New/Limited Time Classes & Events

Abriendo Puertas (Spanish)

Date: Fridays, January 17 – March 21, 2014 (10 weeks)

Time: 9:00am – 11:00pm

Address: Vargas Elementary, 1054 Carson Drive, room 15, Sunnyvale, CA

Notes: Registration required. Children will have learning opportunities (stories, crafts and songs) while parents are in class. Must register by January 15.

Bombay Jam

Date: Thursdays, February 13 & 27, 2014

Time: 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Address: Vargas Elementary, 1054 Carson Drive, room 15, Sunnyvale, CA

Notes: $1 per person. No childcare, but supervised children may dance (not play) in the room. Teacher: Sharmila Gopinathan. Must sign a waiver for participation. Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes for dancing on carpet.

Movetrition

Date: Fridays, March 7 - April 11, 2014

Time: 2:00pm – 3:30pm

Notes: Movetrition with a twist! Coming to Vargas FRC starting on Friday, March 7. Come join us as we learn about eating healthy fruits and vegetables through physical activities. As the children get to sample yummy healthy snacks, parents will get to engage in positive parenting skill building activities! First 15 families accepted each week upon arrival.

Date: Tuesday

Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm

Notes: No registration required. This class is first come, first served for the first 15 children / 30 people (due to the classroom size, for safety reasons). Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early (or 30 to secure a spot) – it will most likely fill each week. If you arrive before 4:00pm and do not get a spot, you will receive priority entrance for the next week if you arrive before 4:00pm the following week. (Limit 5 for priority entrance).
 

Bilingual Storytime (Spanish/English)
